Our Story · Jacksonville, NC
We broke our own shirts so yours wouldn’t break.
Mabuhay Designs & Co started at home, five miles from the Lejeune gates — a military family, a starter printer, and a stubborn standard. Before we sold shirt one, we spent months testing every ink, DTF powder, film, and blank we could press, down to viscosity-testing the inks — then did everything the care instructions forbid to our own samples, hunting for cracks, peel, and fade. Only the combinations that survived became the shop standard.
That testing became an eight-step pressing process we still run on every garment, and the starter rig became a commercial dual-head press. The care never changed — it just scaled to full company orders for units across Lejeune and New River. The job does not care what the emblem says; we set up the same way every time.
- 01.Tested before sold — inks, powders, films, and blanks all proved out first.
- 02.Eight-step press process, tuned per fabric for durability and softness.
- 03.In-house press. No brokered outsourcing, no surprise delays.
- 04.No minimums. A five-shirt run gets the same attention as a 500-shirt run.
